fitting sizes

I am converting all my fuel lines over to SS. BUT seeing as I live in Ft Mac, my options of bring things like the cp3 to somewheres to find the size i need for the fittings are rather slim.
Does anyone know what all the sizes are for all the spots, such as the return on the back of the head, the cp3's etc? I would also like to find some form of a manifold for all the return lines to join up so I can just bring one line back to the fuel cell

Thanks

Kevin

Also on the tranny, as I will be running ss lines from there to a cooler eventually too

Most banjo bolts are going to be 12mm thread. Only one different on any of my trucks is the overflow, and the feed on the p-pump, which ar 14mm. VP was 12mm. You should only need -6 line, since that will be the opening size of 12mm fittings. You could go -8 until you split it off to each pump.

that should look and work well. I think most of the fittings can be found at a hydralic shop, they just won't be stainless. But if you need to guess it would be cheaper to get an assortment at a hydralic shop.

do you happen to know the pitch? I noticed 2 different pitches on a website that I was on... I would also like to go away from a banjo bolt on the cp3's I would think that this would be ok... do you?

Also as for tying in the return lines, what would you use for a manifold,, and actually the same for when it splits the incoming fuel to the cp3's

take a peak at this http://www.russellperformance.com/misc/tech/main.shtml It has some good info on it. The fass systems use an adaptor and AN fiting for a straight shot into the CP3 so that should work okay. Some of the y fittings and maifolds for air systems( like the air system a shop uses for air tools) would work. some of them are anodized and look pretty decent.

I think it is M12x1.5, but it could be M12x1.75. Take out a bolt and see if the threads are coarse or fine.

Should be 12mm, but a second look for confirmation is always a good idea. Your 3rd gen stuff is still foreign to me.

I would just use the Y fittings to go from 3 to 1 and 1 to 2. You're not dealing with high flow, so turbulence isn't a huge concern IMO.

Kev, I would try your local swedgelock dealer, they will have all the stainless fittings. Doesn't your fass kit already have fitting adapter. I saw that my local greggs had the AN adapter fittings. I'm gonna do the same project in Decemeber. I want everything stainless tubing and junk the rubber hoses.

Hey Kev, i did my tranny lines/cooler with 316 SS 1/2" lines and bent them up with my swagelock benders, which are still in my truck if you wanna have a look. I might still have a couple sticks kicking around that we can play with and got all my fittings at swagelock just up the street from your shop...
I'll give you a call when i get back at the end of the week.
Cheers!
Dan

Swagelok is excellent stuff and 316SS to boot. Pricey though. I have not used any of the metric stuff but shouldnt be too hard to figure out.

Also, www.vulcanperformance.com has all kinds of fittings/adapters but I dont believe any of them are S.S.
