Fi injectors

Hi guys, looking for info on how to ship injectors to don m. DHL wouldn't ship, Dangerous goods becuase of fuel, said they need to be purged. Should I just get them pressure tested somewhere first? Have been getting a lot of blowby since adding the juice, and don;t seem to be losing oil level.
Thanks

UPS & DHL are a waste of time and money!!! I just sent mine in the past to Don via Canada Post. Nowdays, you have to send them to one of his vendors and go from there. Talk to Rip @ Source Automotive, he'll hook ya up good. You will be so happy with them!!!

Hmmm, will UPS, Fedex or DHL charge their stupid brokerage fee to items shipped to the U.S.?

Canada Post/USPS will work & a very small brokerage fee but they are very slow.

As for the "dangerous" goods, I would just clean them up, wrap them in paper and plastic and in a solid small box & you would be fine.

I'm in the market for a 40-50HP CR injector upgrade and F1 is one of preferences. Let us know what you find to be the best way to ship both ways.

Canaduh post and USPS for me and no more of those other guys. I had a huge box shipped UP HERE from the USA for about 1/4 of the others cost during the Christmas season and it was here in 4 days! No fees either.
Even regular post letters to the USA are now taking less then 7 days. Was over 2 wks at one time.

Yup, just like Joe said. Clean them as good as you can, seal each one in a ziplock bag and throw them in a box with bubble wrap. Throw in a airfreshner tree too.

FWIW, there should be no brokerage or GST when shipping those across border, as you have already paid those fees once to get them. You haven't purchased anything, so they can't bill you for it. Just make sure you clarify with the shipper that they are repaired/defective parts, that will make them exempt from brokerage/gst.

Even that being said, go CP/USPS. I've never had any issues shipping with them. I haven't had a smooth shipping transaction with either of the big two, and DHL has had issues. Fedex lost half of my wheels, and shipped the other half back to the shipper. They were in transit for almost two months!

You can insure them, not sure what the maximum amount is though. I'd wrap them in paper towel, then put them in a double seal ziplock. You could probably put all six in one bag, then double bag it. Make sure they don't leak. My VP44 leaked when I was shipping it back to Utah. I had to find someone in Michigan (why it went that far east, I don't know) to pick it up, rebox it and ship it on the rest of the journey.

There bs you about the diesel. I sent my injectors from Lloydminster Ab to Anna Texas with Purolator. Sent them on a monday, Don had them wed, the looked them over, put his tips on. Sent them out sometime fri, back to me tues morning, came back DHL. Shipping was bad, roundtrip was $200bucks cdn, but no gst, brokage, etc, had insurance thou. I wrote on the box, warranty repair, made sure it was cool with Don first. Just so he knew why it said that on the box. I washed up the injectors, wrapped them up. If it isnt leaking fuel out of the box, dont think its an issue. Bob is good to deal with to. I just tried Soure Auto, they made sure Don had parts, then phoned me, send them down. Only reason I used delivery truck was in a hurry, & @ the time it worked. There is nothing wrong with using mail, I have great luck getting stuff shipped that way from the US.

Well guys I've had my 90hp f1's in for awhile and love em, don't use the chip much anymore except for the guages. But on extreme she sure does giddy up. Next will be the tranny, but isn't the first and won't be the last. Actually 12 valve is hurting in that department again !!!!

Thanks for all the help.

Central Diesel in Red Deer is good to deal with. They have some of the best prices for stock injectors that I have found. Their shop rate is also very competitive. Their service has been awesome.
One thing is he does not recommend anything but stock tips on injectors. Seen to many problems with after market tips.

I am not a salesmen just a extremely satisfied customer.

I only use Postal for getting stuff around now. its not slow. if you pay for a faster rate. I've brought a couple sets of injectors up from the states both with postal parcel. brokerage bullshiete never pay it with postal. its cheap compared to anything else. I've never been burned by CP/usps and have moved lots of stuff around.

When I sold my twins off the 24v, I shipped them in 2 giant rubbermaid tubs. NO problemo. to Nebraska.
