Fellas with H&S tuning...

Okay, I feel like a complete dummy for asking this but I haven't played a whole heck of a lot with my minimaxx to know if I'm running an aggressive turbo tune (ATT) or not. I've scrolled through the settings and such on the MM but I don't see any mention of it? My truck hits the 34psi defuel limit awfully easy and from what I've read a non ATT will only hit 29-30psi, I could be wrong though.

I'm running 6.8.31 mild with no turbo tune. It does not say "no turbo tune" but I did try the "aggressive" turbo tune and I believe it did make a mention of that. I switched back to no turbo tune as I found it hit the 28psi boost defuel too easy. Even then with the non aggressive it was still hitting the defuel too easy so I upped the boost defuel to 34psi and although it does hit that mark easily on occasion I am living with it.

It should be listed in the menu if you tell it to "show settings" or something like that, although I have had tunes that weren't listed as one of the ATT tunes that said they were the "mild 175 W/turbo" variety
perhaps I labelled it wrong when I saved it on my laptop though

Ok so I finally got a chance to have a look at what my MM is set at. Currently it says 6.8.31 mild with turbo. I know I'm way out of date for firmware but I don't really want to fiddle with it since it runs great except for the stock trans tuning... The engineer at dodge who came up with that should be slapped for that disaster

It is easy to return to stock then reload the 6.8.31 without turbo but you don't have to return to stock, you can just load the 6.8.31 without TT over what you have. I would also suggest the H&S transmission tune, it really straightened my trans out. After I installed the H&S my unlock code for the TT went to my junk mail so I didn't have it for the first few days, during that time it seemed as though my transmission was lost and I was doubting what I had done. The TT made a huge difference.

ya I don't blame you for wanting to stay with what works, some of the best mileage I've had was with the 6.7.26 from way back when. the only reason I upgraded after that was the adjustable shift points of the better trans tune (I forget which version though)

I'm running an old tune on my truck, no timing adjusts, pre OD trans tune update, and with no turbo tweaking. I've tried the turbo tune and found it worked ok, just my egt's wasn't that cool during towing. I run day in/day out(not towing) on mild, I just run cold coolant temp defuel, but other that I run straight up with no defuels.

Running winter fuel up yesterday I averaged 14.1Litres/100km's. With warm-up and not shutting off the truck for 18 hrs, its -32deg's up here. Must have put in 1100 km's. Was pretty impressed for nearly stock and running winter fuel to get that kind of mileage.

Passing on mild setting, I would max out at 31psi and 1100 deg's on the pyro. Max towing 12k lbs is around 1200-1300 deg's on steep hills, fuel mileage is 15-18Litres/100km's.

I'm just running an AFE air inlet/home exhaust and H&S tuner. I have my stock head bolt torqued to 135ft*lbs and have my valves lashed at 10/20 thou in/ex
