Why not leave the mech w/p on the engine. Then do like the grass snowmobliers do. Have quick couplers that hook up to an electric pump that circulates that coolant while the engine is off. The quick couplers are kinda like hyd couplers. While racing there hooked up; while in the pits unhooked. They use a coolant storage tank with ice. Maybe could have a another rad with a fan or something. Just an idea.

Its new still never had oil in it. its an Asa Hydraulics oil cooler. not exactly for automotive use. but its a small hydraulic cooler doesnt really matter what kind of oil is in it. but i can guarantee that is better than any "tranny" cooler you can buy off the shelf.

there was a hydraulic motor and fan on it originally. but that had to go, so we notched in a 14" standalone electric. I used the original shroud and frame. so its still kinda big......but the cooler itself is only the thickness of that blue Asa sticker on the bottom. the shroud is as thick as the cooler. and the frame was original equipment. but you could make it smaller if you wanted. or just bang it up under the bed as is. it'll add volume to your trans for sure. a few liters anyways. and its a hella good cooler.

when I worked for Tesco we used them on 650ton electric topdrives, to cool the gearbox oil.

I read something about a coolent by-pass kit for the common rails that lets the coolent in the head get back to the rad much easier reducing pressure when running high rpm maybe saving head gaskets and frost plugs. Sorry, just going by memory here, don't know who makes it.

Hey Kevin, have you given the thought of getting the internals and/or block cryo treated? I read an article on it today. Seems to work very well in race applications and making things stronger. Just a thought
