hmmmmm. I think I am next to have my wheel pass me by! 434k of all oilpatch roads. Just last week I had all 4 of my moto metal rims replaced on warranty from cracks...... And a few times I had a some work done @ local shops and a few times the lugnuts where on so tight from being pounded on with an impact that I had to use a snipe with my breaker bar to loosen lug nuts..... Good thing I go through so many front wheel bearings!!!!

Did the rims crack from over torquing them??I know the steel rims are 140 FT/lbs...Was told to torque the aluminum to 160 ft/lbs...which seems high..

No, they cracked further out on the "spokes" or the skull part of my rims. So I easily could have lost a tire as well. Guess I should have taken pics!

looked like there was recent work on the hub seal and there was some sort of problem with the hub nut. and the duals bucked off on deerfoot. had most of it closed for a while, 2 wreckers on scene. it was a good one. no injuries as far as I know. I'm betting it was on the news,

Oh right...the hub nut...When I got my truck, the nub was so bashed up from improper torque(to loose)...The axle then starts to hit the nut...I had a good inch play back and forth...

The guy who did my safety said he had trucks in the shop, that lost the complete axle...tires and all...
