I think most building supply outfits carry it. I think it is used for etching concrete.

This stuff works great on scaled up toilets...But you have to wear a chemical mask...because as I remember, water and muratic acid creates hydrogen chloride gas ...And thats not good...

as far as I can tell, muriatic acid is the shelf name for hydrochloric acid. its slightly browned the concrete where its touched. but I'm not sure if thats because I got a bad batch of conrete to start with of a bad install on the driveway. so. Im not worried about it. it may treat old seasoned conrete different.

but yes it did wipe away most all the spots. with a short soak in diluted acid and washed with the pressure washer. took the black as night spots to light shadows at best.

Want to know another little secret about Muriatic Acid?

You can use it to bring the PH level down in your hot tub if it's to high. And yes I do use it for that purpose. It works way faster than using the PH lowering crystals

TSP is a non sudsing detergent, works great mixed with warm water and bleach to make treated wood look like new. Removes mold etc. Also for cleaning walls before painting, etc. Good stuff.
