dyno day results

Made it home safe and sound......411 hp 608 tq for myself. Lower than I was hoping but at least a baseline. Numerous tuning issues obviously. Wastegate opening and robbing horsepower, at least on the dyno.

Fuel starvation reappeared after leaving the event, seemed ok on the way there.
Only 38 lbs of boost on the pull, yet I get 55lbs on the highway, even after leaving the event.
This was 4th gear pull. 5th may have yielded better results.

Plumbing in the waste dump to the hot pipe may help some I suppose.

Still want to retorque the head studs and adjust rockers as they've been kind of noisy lately.
Timing bump after, too.
Thanks again Dave and Jamie.
Any other results out there?

Yeah, me either, sorry about that. We were just too pressed for time. Awesome turn out. Lots of trucks, a couple of dozen. How many ended up pulling? Saw an cool early dakota, twin turbo, with a 4bt.

It definately would have helped to dyno in 5th. It would help your turbo to spool

Yeah, I see that now, but on the last dyno w/ Martin, I gained a few ponies by pulling in 4th rather than 5th.
But back then I had 235/85's rather than the 35's I have now, so who knows.
Dave also mentioned the dyno operator wouldn't pull anyone with an nv4500 in 5th for fear off spinning of their 5th gear nut. I would have gotten him to do it anyway since I've gotten the special nut installed and we could have started the pull from 1600 rpm to avoid the problem. Just didn't think of it at the time. lots of trucks lined up.
It may be worth it to book an hour if it goes for about 135.00 like ccmckee mentioned. 100 clams for 5 mins is steep by comparison. but thats OK, at least I got a baseline. just have to make sure we book with this guy again after making mods.

Steve, they upped the roller load on the next truck after yours. It seemed to helped. Deb's truck cranked over 500rwhp, up from her earlier number. Which makes sense as she ran a 12.83 at Edmonton. Top truck was a duramax, this time around. Ya Kev, you would have cleaned up with the 03 buddy. To bad that CT broke just prior to the event.

Hard to believe that three guys had hung injectors and knock out some of our big power trucks.

1.08 and 1.09

Wish that I had more data, starting from a lower rpm. My truck kept shifting down, even in manual mode.

what you would have needed to do Mike is start at a higher MPH in OD. Would have fixed that up. On my ford I can actually tune it into a dyno mode so that it locks the truck in 5th gear. Cant wait to try it out

I have no fuel currently with my 2010 truck. There is no more power left I think my number is pretty much as what the truck is at. We tried several gears, even a high speed pull. My HP/torque fell off. My best pull was with 1:1, I thought the samething as well.

My truck just gave a small wiff of smoke, nothing impressive at all.

You could of got Chris to dyno in 5th if requested..This dyno event was to check this system out.Because I didn't know anything about it..If everyone is ok with Chris...I will be talking to him about a reduced cost for the next dyno event..Chris girlfriend told me ,its way easier to stap down a truck than a car..which I think we should get better rate...If we decide to use Chris, what rate would be good?? $80?

I heard he was charging $80 to dyno cars when he was at the Sylvan car show in August. How did the dyno work? Similar to AFI's?

That's it no more results? Wish I could of made it. Hopefully Armor has one in October .

Yes it is $80 for cars....But a truck is way easier to stap down than a truck, even if you have to use extra stapping...Thats why I think our trucks should also be $80...We are big enough to start getting a better rate..I think we should be asking for this...
