He was hoping for 60,000. I don't think they have put another 30000 into it since buying it off of Bullydog. It was already pretty much that fast I think they're tring to make back some of the expense of breaking parts. Iwas going to offer 25000, that's still a good price for a truck that is 7 yrs. old

Luke, thats one cool truck? What kinda motor is in it? You get your class #1 buddy I got my class one from that outfit, they still have that gravel truck that couldn't shift a gear without doing some grinding? They used to have that blue kenny hooked up to a B train and had about 30k of weight in it. Made a fun trip to Golden and back in that truck.
wow $60k, for a well worn race truck is a pricey ride. I bet if your smart about where you spend your money you could build a fast race truck on the cheap. Out side of the motor and tranny, its just tubing, and tires. The rear might costs abit but you could do that at home as well. Makes that full prostock tubing chassis, fiberglass body ride that we saw awhile back for $20k US look cheap. I talked to that guy, he was pretty motovated to sell it. At $60k, I can build new stuff.

That freightliner Joint Venture has a 16v92 out of a tugboat. Its cranked up to 2 or 3000hp. 245mm injectors. pretty wild.
I got my class 1 done and done. the blue kenworth w900 is the one i drove too. its hooked to a 45ft vanbody for in city driving. my instructor said they have a bunch of other trucks but they're not all in calgary.
and 60k?!?! holy cow. that'll never happen. I predict 20k ....25k at best. with no engine or tranny.

I like driving the peterbuilt the most. It just looked cool. That kenny was fun, on the way back from Golden, we broke down on excessive coolant temps. A funny story, we had to go and find water for the radiator. I just remember shifting the entire day. It had a switch on the shifter to go up/down a gear. Had about 200 to 400 rpm sweet spot. You should have taken the course in the winter time. They never plugged in the trucks and 15W40 oil in a truck with half dead batteries. Back then I had nothing to do, so I went in early so we could get them started. Driving a heavy trailer in the winter is so much more fun. You just slide or spin

the lever on your thumb is the splitter. you split the gear for the small step. switch color =
grey-18spd split all gears in high and low range
red-13spd split only high range
blue-15spd split only low range
grey-18spd split all gears in high and low range
red-13spd split only high range
blue-15spd split only low range

Chapter President
IIRC the 15 doesn't actually split. Its just low reduction. 1-2-3-4-5 "split" back to 4-5 then lever to high 1-2-3-4-5. Its actually not 15 but rather 12..LOL.. I used to drive my dads well before I was old enough..

15 is a true low reduction tranny. pretty specific to its application. I never had to drive one yet. I assumed it was split low range up straight gears. I guess I could look it up

I drove both the 18 spd and 15 spd. Both where lots of shifting, the new trucks are just easier to drive than the old stuff. Like I said my neighbor has a kenny with an ISX with an automatic tranny. Its a piece of cake to drive. I
If I remember correctly there is three ranges on the 15 and 18 spd tranny. ultra low, mid range and high range. The 15 speed is just a five speed with three different ranges. The 18 speed is the same but with that half gear shift. Man its been years since I drove one. Put some weight into the trailer, you have one slow ride. If I remember correctly Luke, that detroit in the kenny was 465hp model. You sure could rev it out, unlike the cats. I still don't know why everyone likes the cats over the detroits. The detroits seem to pull hard. Remember those trucks are 20 years old.
