Rob, you think that you could build some custom springs so I can get rid of my lift blocks on the rear axle. I just have a 1/2 to 1 in lift, nothing close to 6in. I'm game to try something new.

If your rear tires don't rub, I can't see why you can't just dump the blocks. It increase the pivioting motion/spring wrap when the spring gets bouncing.

You should just put in four air bag on all the corners, so you can have both a lifted truck and a low rider all in the same truck. That way you don't need front springs and rear leafs. I would have done that but I took the easy route.

Dave, all you need is something to center the springs, you can remove the exisiting block and rig up something that will work for centering the springs,, this is what I did on my truck

Kenny, I have to see how your truck is set-up. Sounds like you have a pretty nice suspension set-up. What air pressure do you run your tires at? I checked mine yesterday and I'm at 60psi.

I know Rob aka winkdiesel was looking into building springs, I want a softer ride quality and let the shocks do more of the work and soak up the bumps. My current springs are pretty stiff, I can put three cummins engine in the back and truck didn't hit the over loads. I've been doing lots of gravel (muck) driving lately. kinda bouncey at times.

I want to get rid of that lever. It just more stuff to wiggle around when I'm beating on it. I'll call up when I have time and chat. I also want to build some traction bars. I have to head back up north into the snow and mud and work the long weekend.

I don't want more ride height, just what I have is fine. I want to drop the spring rate some. Soften up the ride some.

yeah mike i like mine, it rides so much better then stock and im pretty sure its been off the ground a few times. (im just saying it gets used) i took out the 2 overloads and the thick flat bar when i put in the 5 mini 5 pack. i got a new idea for floating traction bars so hopefully soon i can try to make a set.

I just put three tanks of fuel in my truck today, so I got a good look at my rear axle. I think that you could just get away with traction bars, as that should get rid of the flexing. I'm think now of getting a lite spring and use a air bag to adjust ride quality. I just bottomed out my truck today, so I don't know which way to go. The truck makes a loud thump when that happens. Thats the first time that occurred so far....

I'm wondering if I should replace my rear springs being that the truck has 407K.
