Hi Alex, I should be able to help next w/end since it doesn't look like the AB Diesels camping w/end is going to happen, plus the fact I live a few blocks from you in Riverbend.
I do have everything in your list of tools needed and I've never met a cold beer I didn't like, after the work is done!
Let me know if next w/end works for you & which day you prefer.

Glad you got it done Alex. Sorry we responded too late to help.
The truck will look awesome with the level kit & 305's.
I am sorry that I haven't taken you up on any of your invites.
Work has been a zoo for the last few months... Long story there....plus I am on-call every 3rd week/week end this summer which totally sucks.
My wife & I go camping a fair bit in the summer. We were just camping this passed w/end in Cochrane & I missed the Tim's GTG. We will be gone for 3 weeks in August.
I am around this w/end & would like to see your truck. Let's meet up at my place or your place to empty some beer cans!!

Why did you need spring compressor for the springs? You should be able to loosen off all the parts and remove a couple parts track bar, sway bar. Using the vehicle weight, you lift the truck off the ground. The two stock springs will be free to be removed. My 2-3in lift springs, was a snug fit but still fit in. Which vehicle you working on? The trick is to loosen up the control arm bolts. The vehicle weight takes care of compressing the springs.

It sounds easy when you know the terms and parts names in your own language. If I'd start naming them in my own, you'd have no clue *** a track bar is just as me, and 2 of my Duramax driving neighbours didn't.
Took out both bars, yet the front end didn't came down low enough by 2" after the lift. Control arm bolts? Might as well speak chinese, did lots of work back where parts have mostly french/latin derrived names, instructions came in English.....and they were bad - drawings were hand drawn and incomplete..........
Worked on my 010, looks great, and I'm not changing anything even if I'd have to drive it in reverse...........
)Going to get my 305's after 6.........
I could prolly do another lift now in 2hrs or less, but never evr did I took out springs/telescopes(coils/shocks)

Done my lift/ bigger tires.........
Finally the 305's are in too, looks good, wheel wells filled up nice, gained some height, still low enough that my 6yo can get in/out without a step ladder, no need for fender flares or bigger mud flaps, no rubbing .......finally happy.....
It was raining heavy when I did my test drive, seemed like my gears are way longer too...........60-70km/h before It asks for 4th gear.........
Reached 100 in 4th.......However don't know if it was the wind/rain/lift/tires, it felt a bit wobbly...........It will take me a few days to get used to it.......

Met Joe yesterday afternoon, we spent a few great hrs at his place/my place, tried his beer/my homemade smoked peperoni, test drove with my son Gino both trucks (thanx for everything Joe, stop by anytime, you know where I live now, no need for invitation) and among other things found out why I needed spring compressor clamps.......
Never took the track bar off

when I installed the lift kit..............Instead I took off both control arm/ the other thinghy next to it.......Sway bar?!

Well, I am a carpenter, never claimed to be a mechanic, however it is true that you can't possibly screw up too much and the job got done
Well if my wife doesn't find me handsome/smart she'd know I'm creative/strong/stubborn/........
Hi Alex,
1st off, great kids that you have!! I don't honestly know how you & your wife handle 4 little ones but your 2 oldest are great kids!!
Thanks for sausages, those were excellent, plus the good European iced coffee!
Your 2010 truck looks awesome with just the 2" level kit & the 305/70R17E Nitto's. I think Mike H. has to step up his 2010!! Plus it really pulls nice with your
3.42's & 6 speed manual even though it's still stock.
I was concerned about 65PSI rating on your tires, but a bit a research shows that other load range E's also have a 65PSI max rating instead of the usual 80PSI rating.
Another thing is that your new tires have really deep threads on them. It is normal for those truck tires to feel loose until the tread wears down a bit.
Don't worry about the front suspension install. We are all learning everyday & that's part of the process.
I hope you're feeling better... Positive thoughts always...

Love the looks, love the way it handle and the gears got way better with the bigger tires, no more lugging or high RPM's driving in the city..But that's as far as I'll go with my mods, except with the S&B CAI when it becomes available

No more pain killers, just antibiotics, they make me drowsy, cut my appetite, etc, should be better soon..........
Joe, as much as I would like to, no lift kit at this time for my 10 truck. I will be doing up my 02 truck with cool parts. I like to have one truck nearly stock (hah stock for me still burn the hides off the rear tires). I want a truck to put my quad into. I currently only have 50in ramps.
At least my 10 is a 4X4, I'm even keeping the stock tires. My 10 is big enough and work well pulling my RV and nice rig for working/living. I can't believe that stock is ok, and I'm saying that.

I'd run that past the Mrs., after all, my very scientific explanation that the heat generated by the beer fridge will keep the garage sink from freezing worked for me....

It's all about physics really, and gravity and...........
Of course I could've used water supply line heaters but you get what you pay for and cheap is not always reliable and even tho my garage fridge costs 10x more than those cheap unreliable $30 bucks water supply line heaters and on very cold winter days I still have to shut off the water, it will last a lot longer and we can always use it to keep soft drinks cool too.........

And please don't tell the Mrs. that I that told you this......
