any turbos off equipment?

got a buddy up here with u guys .Pullin wrenchs on equipment. He comes across turbos that need rebuilds or swap outs all the time. Anyone know what equipent would have a turbo that could work on my first gen as a cheap upgrade??

last one he had was a holset hx25 ..thought it might be a little small?

I would measure up the compressor inducer and the turbine size. A tape will be enough to get a decent measurement. Post a pic and part # here, we will let you know if its worth the time, if you want.

I would look for a turbo thats 60-64mm inducer on the compressor and a T-03 or T-04 foot turbine inlet size. Sometimes, the housings are very large on the bigger foot tubine inlet turbos that come off hiway trucks.

ISC 8.3L cummins, usually use HX40's. They are everywhere, but are the T-04 turbine inlet flange.
