Amazing mileage

I drove to Edmonton and back yesterday and decided to track my fuel consumption. I used cruise control and kept it at 110 km/hr the whole way. I got 12L/100km. That is amazing. I have had lots of cars that didn't get mileage that good!!!

Does that equate roughly to 20 mpg? I am in that range as well if thats what it works out too. My wife's Jeep is a bit better but not by a lot.

Scotty - I just used an online converter. It says I got 19.6 mpg.
I should mention that was hand calculated. The overhead said I was getting 11 L/100km on highway and I didn't check it while driving in downtown Edmonton - I had to keep my eyes on the crazy drivers around me.
Given the stories I have heard about wildly inaccurate overheads, I was pretty impressed how close it actually was.

2001 gets 20-22MPG,2007 mega, dually gets 19-20.5 but that driving like an old fart.(nothing over 110KPH). Last year i managed just under 21MPG out to Vancouver and back with four adults and a bed full of suitcases for my Alaskian Cruise in the 07----sure does suck doing 90KPH through parts of BC though..The mileage sure does drop off above 2000RPM regardless of what year i feel like driving-----PS--- old blue turns 10 tomorrow, FEB 19/02---the day i picked it up----63000KM to date/20K+ in modsDW

My wifes Ecoboost engine, (which is supposed to get amazing mileage dosent) the best we seem to get with it is 14.2l per 100km

My powerstroke is another animal though,, hand calculated (repeatedly) 25 26 mpg. Even at 130 kmh it never drops below 21. The overhead lies a little, it will show as good as 7l per 100km, and usually average around 9l per 100km,, not quite accurate.

From the looks of it my 2011 6.7 after full deletes is going to be crazy. After I can manage to burn a tank of fuel I'll post back.
