Well, Jeremy didn't get back to me today. However, I do expect a call tomorrow. There apparently is a transducer replacement to solve the known issue. Since I would have to send in my XZT and Commander for new wiring harnesses and firmware updates to accommodate the transducer anyway, we (or I) entered upon a discussion on what deal could be worked out on pricing and / or a module upgrade for my troubles. He was going to check with powers above to see what could done.

I'd love to just go to MoPac and grab an Autometer sender, but I believe the Commander must read a specified current and I don't know what that is, or if all senders are the same.

I'll wait to hear before moving on anything as I need the truck for the upcoming holiday weekend.

I was just thinking of getting a real fuel pressure gauge.

I just took mine of my truck as its down for a bit and am sending my Adrenaline in to get the upgraded fuel pressure system. It still works but it jumps around alot and reads about 10psi high. On there website they have a form you fill out and then wait till you get a reply with a RMA and send her in. An extra $45 bucks but I would rather have it fixed for good instead of get another junk sending unit.

I hear yah Tate............however, I already have the stuff in place in one compact gauge and controller, so I'd figure I'd try to use it before adding extra. Quad has a good product and it works great...............except the fuel pressure issues. Hopefully soon to be resolved. I currently cannot say anything bad of customer support either - anytime I've spoken with anyone there, they've always been helpful.

Yup. That is the transducer I spoke of. He's working on that ++++++++ maybe something else for my troubles and the over $200 in senders I've purchased.

I'd say your eating senders cause they are mounted on the engine/cp3, that thing is one vibrating mass, on top of fuel pulses. my sender is "spiced" into the 1/2 fuel line about 12inches away from the VP. I had to run a ground wire to the fitting but no issues with either the Edge sender or the low pressure sender I also have a needle valve installed. with your set up I'd remove the sender, screw in the needle valve then instal fuel line out to a fitting you can screw the sender into then run a ground from the sender to any good ground (battery). I run 2 senders so that if one fails I know its only a sender but if both quit then I know I have a low pressure issue.

I dont have much luck posting a pic(keeps saying exceeded my limit/size??) but send me a PM with email and I'll send you a couple shots of what I did.

Right now, my feed pressure sender is via a tapped fitting on the CP3 with an Autometer snubber in between as pictured below.

Maybe snubber, grease gun hose, then sender mounted to side of battery box??

OK, the transducer and Commander came back from Quadzilla.

The instructions say mount it right onto the CP3 banjo bolt (I have a tapped 90* fitting - same difference), but do I keep my snubber in place as an extra measure or will it mess with readings on the new transducer style pressure sender? Basically, do I just replace that grey sender in the pictures above, with the transducer, or take out the snubber too??

Snubber won't hurt anything, although with an electronic sensor, it probably won't dampen the pulses as much as it would on an mechanical gauge.

I'd still move it off the CP3 move 12inches down the blue hose and spice in, then use your snubber. I have pics of mine (2nd gen) I can send if you want, just pm me an e-mail address, Mine was installed in Nov 08 for the edge and I,ve logged 600hrs on it so far, before that the low pressure warning was installed the same way a yr and a 1/2 previous, again no issues (140,000kms in 2yrs on the same low pressure sender)

I agree with nickg, move the new transducer to a inline "T" at least 6"-12" awat from the CP3 now that you can. That's the only thing I hate with those old senders is you need to ground them but with the new transducer you don't need to....

Let us know how it works, ok...

I like the idea of moving it inline. However, after looking in the garage through all kinds of goodies, I don't have a fitting to put it there. So, I left as is and placed on top of the snubber on the CP3. I have no time during the day right now to run anywhere and source out a fitting - tied up at the plant 14 hours a day. It seems to work for now.

Now, gotta check on updates for the Smarty POD and upload. Testing this weekend on the way out to Lloyd.

Update:

Got everything in after work tonight and went for a drive (SW#5, 90%). Holy smoke!! Literally blacked out an intersection.

I'm gonna have to turn it down..................I see a ticket coming..........the gitty up is incredible!

Maybe try SW#4 at 70%.

Just now gotta call Jeremy at Quad to try figure out why my EGT on the Commander isn't working after they did the upgrades and sent it up. Sits at 32*. If not one thing, its another.
