AB tool share - i need a batt/alt tester

hey guys,

i think my batteries are finally shot from running a weak alternator for too long. just been killed and recharged too many times now to be good anymore. i recently changed my stock alternator to a high output replacement - but i think it was too little, too late.

so now i need to do some testing on the batteries and charging system to see what exactly is going on. i would like to check the batts individually to see if they are the culprit, and i would also like to check the alternator to see if it is working as advertised.

does anyone have a battery/alternator tester that tells you more than 'good' or 'bad'?? looking to borrow or spend an hour or two with itin the calgary area.

thanx,
jason

I've got one too-but I'm quite a ways away from you-and I won't be in the city for a while either.

Your best off to replace both batterys, if one is bad and you just replace it the other battery may be a little weaker and it will bring the new battery down or thats they teach us at school, can't say i have any info to back it up.

yes, i would be replacing both if one or the other was bad. i'd like to know if they are both or just one though and then see if the shop that sold them to me can still do anything with warranty.

thanx for the offers guys. i am free this monday after the the weekend - anyone of you free to meet up or for me to drop by for a bit?
