'98 12v in Edmonton

Seen in the paper at Derrick Dodge, they have a '98 12v ext cab long box, 4x4 white sport for under $8k. Figured somebody might be looking for a truck, and its a great price. A far cry from the $25k people were asking for the same thing two years ago.

For the dealer to be asking a reasonable price there has to be a reason. Like big problems, or a million miles on it, and the body is done or something. Never heard of a dealer trying to give someone a deal!

Thanks for the link BigD450... Looks a little rough, oilfield truck. I see the Positive Air Shutoff switch on the dash (red sticker around it). It may be the photo, but the headliner looks water stained from the back window. I don't remember the Sports having chrome bumpers?

Definately not a sport, i think someone had some decals kicking around. No dual headlights, colour matched bumper/grill or foglights.

It's been about 3 weeks since I was there but Wild Mile Auto Sales in Innisfail (on the corner across from MacDonalds) had a 96 extended cab 2500 4x4 for $5000. I can't say if it is still there.

It was actually in real good shape for it's age, had I think 1/2 a million klicks on it but was a real sharp truck. It was an auto, all the power stuff and new 3rd Gen tires and wheels.

They also had a 98 extended cab 3500 4x4 for $11,000 that was real nice also but I saw the other day it was sitting on a lot in Olds so not sure what went down there.

The early sports didn't have that, or the plastic bumpers. The chrome should be painted, but it would be that style of bumper.

No pics of the engine, but the tach says its a 12v. The info tag says 24v.
