Usb connection for ipod
Usb connection for ipod
The factory USB connection for my iPod either shorts out or blows a fuse.
I have taken the truck in twice now to get this fixed. Once I plug my iPod touch in it works fine for 30 sec. And then nothing completely dead at iPod and radio. They tell me the problem is in the radio I really don't know what to believe. Has anyone had this problem?

iPOD must be plugged into UCI port using provided cable in glovebox. Connecting via audio jack or USB port to radio will not provide UCI mode access. update the iPOD firmware to the latest from the iPOD manufactures website (www.apple.com).
Cable provided from factory. Mopar cable P/N is 82210787

BigIron,
Are you sure of the cable p/n? I have UConnect with a RES 130 in a 2012 and was told the iPod interface cable was p/n 82212160.
I'm trying to figure out which is the proper cable p/n so that I can control my iPhone4 via the media head and charge the device as well.
Plugging into the USB gives basic control through the phone and no charging.
Cheers,
Taz
