I purchased my new 2014 3500 Laramie on the 8th of August and this truck has the latest U-connect Nav system that is available on the Canadian models. I had pretty much the same system on my 2010 Laramie which worked like a charm.

I started having problems right from the start as my Sirius satellite radio kept dropping off even in open areas. I contacted Sirius and they did a refresh with negative results. The voice recognition did not seem to work and it was driving me crazy as it would not recognize my prompts for phone numbers, radio stations and Nav addresses. I know we Canadians have a reputation for our accents EH? but I am told I speak clearly.

I was speaking with a buddy in West Virginia who has a 2013 Chrysler 200 with the same system and he tells me there is a update to the U-connect system and to check it out by entering your last 8 digits of the VIN on the U-connect website and low and behold my truck was one of them.

It apparently addresses the voice recognition problem and mine goes in on Thurs. for the update.
