I've got a dual steering stabilizer kit from Skyjacker for my '02 3500 4x4. The quality of the kit is excellent, but the tie-rod brackets aren't set up right. Skyjacker says if there were any changes in the steering for the '02 model year, they aren't aware of it. <br><br>It works if I put the driver's side bracket on the tie rod, and the passenger's side bracket on the what-ever-the-heck-it's-called rod crossing over from the pitman arm to the tie rod, a couple of inches from where that &quot;cross-over&quot; rod connects to the tie rod. Any problems with this? I've tested it, it seems to work well. <br><br>Thanks again! <br>ascraeus

 

Rigg4x4, I just looked at the photo of the skyjackers on your webpage. Mine are a lot larger diameter, and longer with wheels at center and shocks half-extended. Makes me think that they sent me a different kit - the number is P/N 7218, which they swear is the right one.

It's not that I don't know how to mount them, I mounted them exactly as the directions/photos called for, and then bent a U-bolt on the passenger's bracket first time I tested it. Physically, because of the size of the shocks and the length of the tie rods, the only way to do it and get the necessary clearance is to mount the one end on the tie rod and the other end on the &quot;cross-over&quot; rod from the pitman arm, just above where it connects to the tie rod. That seems to work, but I'm wondering if there are any problems with mounting the shocks on two different rods that are connected together.

[BTW, my instructions call for mounting the tie rod brackets in the opposite way you appear to have yours mounted, with the tabs pointing toward the passenger side, rather than the driver's side.]
