TPMS tire rotation
Someone on this forum mentioned the online manuals so I went to the dodge ram website (owners section) and found the manuals to download. The pdf files are free, they charge for printed manuals. My printer is able to print on both sides of the page so I was able to print two manual pages on each side of a 8.5 x 11 inch page. The owners manual and the diesel supplement still ended up with approx an inch of paper which I put in a binder with tabs etc. Now I have a hard copy manual at least (to read until my truck arrives). I didn't want to be up in Alaska trying to determine why my battery was dead and having to use the DVD player in the truck to read the DVD manual. Ed

I have not gone to the dealer for reprogramming and will not, since I am using the Smarty software.

Because the TPMS monitor will ding at every start-up and the monitor light will be on. I run this way only during the camping season from April till Oct, I usually pull my 5er once a month camping. In the winter months the light is on since the rear tires are at 45 PSI and the front is at 60PSI.

So I take it the '08's don't have the two range setting option for the rears like the '10's have? My '06 didn't have any TPMS, but I don't know what the '08's have. The '10's let you air down the rears if you aren't carrying anything heavy to smooth it out a bit, and if you press the button on the dash it changes the alarm point on the rears to a lower pressure (I think it's 45 off the top of my head).
Sounds like Jim doesnt want to bother with airing down.
I do air down in the winter months to 45 PSI in the rear and 60 PSI in the front. But for some reason the TPMS does not recognize the lower air pressure in the rear tires of the truck when I am at 45 PSI. I will not go back to a dealer since the local Dodge dealer was closed. Also I am now using the Smarty and the ME version of the software, so why go.
I check the air pressure once a month in the tires, to insure proper air pressure in all of my vehicles and trailer tires.
