i have never had a text come thru mine. maybe something in the set up. check your phone settings also the radio settings for U-Connect

Never had them come thru mine either....
In fact, kinda wish it would make a tone when I got an email or text when connected so I know Ive got one. When its connected its completely silent unless it rings.

Mine says new SMS, and it will read it and I can even reply by voice.

i will have to go out and look. i am stuck at home for a few days. spent a few hours in the ER tuesday with EKG, CT scan, blood work and chest xray. A little stressed out you can say. R&R is being taken advantage of

ok. went on a 200 mile trip today to put some miles on the new girl. anyways, had my nano (gen 5) plugged into the ipod harness, had my sons nano (gen 5) plugged into the USB port. well sitting at a stop getting a snack, i went into "manage music" and imported OFF OF THE IPOD ONTO MY HDD!!!
don't ask why or how but it DID. got 104 songs off his ipod onto my HDD. tested it a few hours later with his removed and mine removed and the playlist is titled "ipod controls" and plays all the songs it snagged off the IPOD. go figure. he has 822 songs on there but only xfered 104. don't know, can't explain, dumbfounded as to the why. wanted to share
