Thumbs down Tailgate cap

Who here has already pulled that junky, cheap piece of excrement off while unloading stuff from the bed of their truck?
Every thing hangs on it when you slide stuff off the tailgate.

Does anyone make an aluminum replacement?
Can I be the first member of the tailgate cap ripper offer club???

None w/ mine, but I had a drop in liner from an '06 MegaCab.
Trimmed the tailgate piece a bit and it bolted right up. I should be fine for years!!!

Mine is pulling up on it's own. It's like it's warping from the heat.

Preloader,

Your avatar, where did you find it at. That was mine for quite a while. I had made it when I did my deletes couple years ago. Must have saved in a page cache somewhere.

I don't remember I've been using it so long.

Somalian pirates couldn't have hijacked this thread any more.
Just kidding, I think it ran its course and died an early death.
4th generations Rams have not been out long enough for people to tear up, but they will!

Dude... It was just two posts...

You should see some of my ConAir impressions elsewhere

Seriously though, had one on my 06 and it wasnt great. They should make em out of aluminum or stainless and bolt em on.

Funny you guys should mention it - altho mine is mostly a pretty truck, when I had the bed line-x'd, I noticed the transition from the tailgate lining to the cap was asking for the cap to be knocked loose - hopefully by the time it happens someone comes up with a fix...

Anybody found a tailgate protector to solve this tailgate cap problem? I would like to get mine replaced but doesn't make sense till the problem is solved.
