Rattle/clunk in front end ONLY when towing
Rattle/clunk in front end ONLY when towing
Saw some uneven wear in the front tires so had all 4 ball joints replaced with Moog parts. Towed a 14000lb trailer twice and each time when I hit a certain type of bump there is a rattle in the front end that I can both hear AND feel through the gas pedal. Nothing through the steering, but the source seems to be coming through either the floor or the firewall. Happens at all speeds. This only happens when the front end is light (back of truck squatted slightly).
Any ideas?

My 12, 3500 had 2 body /frame mounts replaced on the passenger side front. It took several trips to ******* to find, but once replaced the clunking stopped, it was horrible on a rough road sounded like the front passenger tire was loose. It did it loaded and unloaded though and no tire wear problems though.
