The pic is of the Nitto's on 2008 Hummer wheels with dodge caps installed. The Hummer wheel specs are 17x8.5
offset=18mm
backspace=5.563"

The 285's on stock wheels were still tucked under a little to far for my tastes but were still a big improvement over stock tires

Aren't the R/Ts a 1/2-ton truck? They'd be 5 lugs if they are...
My '06 was the grey color (had a more marketable name tho), and it's up in Eureka somewhere now (probably on a pot farm!). Never did any dyno days tho. Was a fan of Swift Dodge downtown - sorry to hear of how that all turned out.
As for the rims - big DUH. I totally forgot the lug difference - dummy me. I really like that R/T package - had a Dakota some time ago with it, nice truck. Would get the regular single cab in it but nowhere for the dog to ride! (inside - he's an inside boxer so doesn't do beds)
Arcojet's truck looks a lot like mine leveled and same color combo, with the same steps. I have bed rails cause I don't do a camper tho. One of these days I'll post a pic with the tires and rims - I'm biased but I think it looks good! LOL

Wow, I guess I never noticed how much dish the Hummer wheels have. The 3/4 view really makes that obvious. Looks great with the Dodge caps. Did you grind or machine the hubs to fit? 5.5" backspacing on an 8.5" rim looks like the way to go for filling the flares. Great choice!

What's the deal with the trucks coming with the front stake pocket sealed shut? Doesn't look like an easy pop out plug... Did you have to Dremel the plastic? The R/Ts look good. I was going to take my 96 2wd reg cab and lower it a bit nd make a 600hp stealth commuter. Too bad my son sold his other 96 to buy this one back!

I used a router to cut the hub opening. 3rd set I have done and havent had a problem yet. Do a search here on the hummer wheels and you will get a ton of info and directions.

My front stake pocket wasn't sealed shut - odd...I wonder why mine wasn't yet it sounds like many others were/are...
I'm not a big fan of lowered trucks, but some of them really look good...Dodge's in particular of earlier gen's, I think.

I have a question for you about those 305/70/17 tires...did you get a 5th tire for your spare and if so does it fit in the spare tire well under the truck?? Also how well do those Nittos do in the snow/ice?

We have about 10" of snow with packed roads right now and I havent had any slipping at all with these tires unless I get on it.
Yes they fit in the spare location, I had 315's on and had 1 of them in the spare location also, tight fit but it did fit. I took the 315's off because I needed-wanted a higher load rated tire

well i like their off road performance pretty well, i dont think ill get the mileage out of these tires that i expected. road noise is very minimal. i believe these tires would work better for mileage in a 1/2 ton application
