Oh yeah. They fit fine. I think the 285/75/17s are the perfect size for our trucks. I tried the 35'' mud terrains before these current Nitto Terra Grapplers. I gained back 2 mpg, much less steering stress on the front end and almost as good looks with the 285/75s. Everything is a compromise of course. The stock size is to small and 35's or bigger are pushing it for being to big. The 285/75s are a perfect in-between, imo.

I'll have to keep that tire size in mind for the next truck. I have 35" Toyo MT's on a Carli setup and it looks just right. But I'm not hip on the tires sticking out that much so the 285's might help a lot. My wheels have decent backspacing of 5.25", where stock is 6-1/8".

No leveling kit needed in the front either?

my new truck is finally being shipped today and will be here on the 11th. ive already got my tires/wheels. got 275x65x20 which is 34x11's for nitto terras, they should fit. Each brand is different with actual size so i would do research on the brand and size before making the purchase or assuming teh numbers are the same across the board

I test drove a 2010 2500 LB today, it was an auto. i perfer standard but what can ya do. for starters, im not sure i like the manumatic? its a little strange and seems to shift hard even when letting off the throttle, the truck also seemed real sluggish of the get go, i think this is so it doesnt over fuel and cause emisson problems or even let out a little black puff like diesels are suppsoed to do, the interior was real nice, creature comforts were great, i am a fan of the body style but would rather drive a standard. love the new back seat size!!! sticker price was $53 on the laraime. too much for the crap of emission control they have on them. all in all it was a nice truck and i would definitly own one, without the emissons control garbage.

I saw some at a dealer today for te first time...first time I've seen one period!
I couldn't resist...I stopped in and test drove an SLT Long bed 4x4 after looking at the Larime Mege.
I was surprised how much less responsive it was than my current truck. It could be the new trans and the way it goes thru the gears. I really liked it.
The interior engine noise was also more than I have now.
I will say, watever they have doen to the ride is outstanding. It rode much better than my 06.

I didn't care for the Larime at all with that big center section that looks like it came off of an import.
The Larime seats were an improvement over mine as far as comport also. It enen had 2 person memory.

I do agree it looks a bit odd with the stock tire size.

That surprises me!

Me too.
I think it was the acceleration from the stop. And again, the way the new tranny shifts, it reminds me of the fords. It gets up to speed pretty quick w/o feeling like it was doing so. Kind of deceptive.

I may have to go take another ride...

The sticker prices on the new trucks are getting spendy.

Sticker on my '07 SLT Big Horn was barely over $43,000 (I paid $33,400).

A 2010 built to the same specs as my truck stickers for over $48,000.

I do love the new body style though.

My brother has an '09 1500 (same interior as the 2010 HD) , and I will say, the new interior looks MUCH nicer, but whether or not its built any better remains to be seen.

Heck, I'm 37 and my last truck was Lt Almond Pearl Metallic (aka Champagne). It's so much easier to keep clean-looking than black. I actually wanted that color. I own a black Challenger R/T. Beautiful car, but a total PITA to maintain, paint-wise, due to the color. I'd buy a Khaki/Champagne/LAPM truck like it or my Dad's 07 1/2 ton in a heartbeat.

For those that drove the 2010....
Is it an actual Exhaust Brake, or is it the Holset VGT turbo being used to retard the truck?
Could not find it as a option to be added on so guessing it's the latter. If so...how well does it work?

I thought all 6.7 used the turbo as the Exhaust Brake.

Also how do you guys manage to just walk in and test drive a brand new truck with out wanting to buy and get haggled by sales people, I would love to test drive one, and even have the cash to buy it if I wanted to(I don't) but I doubt they would let me, I'm 25 by the way

They should put 275-70R18s on like the Ford SD Harley Davidson Edition. That's what I used, and they weren't oversized, but filled out the wheel well much better without raising up the truck much, yet made it LOOK taller and more muscular.

Not me. Although I have never driven a 6.7 L rig, I had mine former ride (2005) set up on SW3 (60 HP) mild Tq Mgmt on a S-06 and it would "Sh_t-n-Git." Besides, it's a truck. If I need crazy HP, my Challenger answers the call.

You don't! But showing up in your 2nd Gen should get you credibility.
Some places, if they don't know you, want to ride with you but that's ok!
I just tell them I need another CTD for business.... either buying used or new, if I like the 2010's. (easy cause it's pretty close to true).

I'm sure it's one of those times where looking older helps, but a smart salesperson knows not to pre judge!
The've all heard the 1960's story of Sonny & Cher walking barefoot across the street in NYC to pay cash for a Mercedes......
because the Rolls Royce dealer treated them like lowlife hippies!

(Now you're going to ask...."Who's Sonny"
