Do I still go 3/4 ton???

Hello All,

This is my first post and I appreciate all of the good info I have already read on this forum. I have owned a 2002 and 2004 1500 and currently own a 2006 2500. This is my daily driver and is quite honestly driving me nuts. I do a lot of long highway trips for work where the truck is empty. Honestly 95% of the time the truck is empty. The only reason I bought a 3/4 was to tow my travel trailer and ATV trailer which it does much nicer then the 1/2 tons did. That being said I cant take the rough ride on my long trips anymore but I am having a hard time going back to a 1500. When I hit a sharp bump at high speeds it shutters so bad I feel like I am going to loose control sometimes... Have their been any noticeable improvements in the ride of the 2010 2500 RAM when empty? The GM's and Fords are a MUCH smoother ride but I like RAM and want to stick with the cumins. I guess I could go test drive one but I am curious to hear from those of you who own a new 2010 and had a 2006-2009 previously. Thanks in advance!!!

2010 Ride

The ride is much better on the 2010's. New cab mounts and new spring rates make a difference.

I went from a 06 to a 2010 and I will tell you night and day difference. 2010 rides much nicer!

X2! I went from an 06 3/4 ton mega cab to a 2010 1 ton crew cab and I think the ride is night and day difference but you really have test drive one for a longer period of time than 10-15 minutes, then decide. My 06 only had 34k miles on it and I made the mistake of test driving the 2010. It was the interior that attracted me first to the 2010 and the ride difference was icing on the cake.

My 2010 longbed crewcab with lowered tire pressure rides as good as any half ton i've owned.

you don't say if your 3/4 ton is a 4x4, after years of driving 4x4's I went with the truck in my signature, night and day difference between 2x4 and 4x4 in my opinion
