Sounds great! I hope the build time isn't too long and of course pics should be in order upon delivery. Congrats.

Did the dealer give you anything as proof of the order?

Well... I ask that because of possible issues with financing. Also, in the past I've had customers want to place an order and they were good customers but we both agreed that no deposit was needed. We just made sure it was something we would like to be on our lot if the sale fell through. (This was for a pilot-truck business when the oil patch had a slow down.) When submitting an order, a VON (vehicle order num.) code is created.

An order with a customer name receives priority allocation before other regularly ordered trucks. Once you have a VON that dealership shouldn't have to take a bunch of time trying to track down at what stage the build is at.

I was wondering if they showed you, or have made you sign anything yet. Knowing the original VON will also let you know if there were any forced modifications to the order that may be on the factory side. A change in order creates a new VON, I believe. Forced changes could be something like you ordering the RER 710 radio with nav, with the upcoming Garmin nav software late availability. Will it cost more? If so, having your order named will give you price protection for the original cost of the radio.

That part also leads to financing. Price protection is a benefit, but up here in Alberta you get to pick from the incentives that were available at the time of order, or the better incentives that are available during the time of delivery. Perhaps there too. Rules on either side of the border are different. Even western Canada gets discounts that the east doesn't. Then Alberta gets incentives (usually something truck related) that MB, SK, and BC don't receive.

Anyways, that is why I asked. Not that important I suppose.

I am pretty sure you can only get that with the 4500 and 5500 CC's.
