No cabin filter for the 3rd gen bodies.

I change the cabin filter on my Magnum once a year, about 10k miles.

I just said 2 posts above. . . Can't do it on the 08.

Let me clearify that. I need to see a box on a bench disassembled to figure it out. I don't want to cut it up in the wrong place. The parts and service books are pretty useless

Got all the parts to do mine this weekend. I do have a question. I ordered the Cab-fresh kit from Geno's, does doing this mod eliminate the need for the cab-fresh set up? Id so I'm sending it back!!!

Thanks,
Will-

Non existent.

Sorry Bud, but this is only applicable to the '10 and up.

No idea why Dodge never put one in they trucks before. Works so well.

Cabin Filter on 2009

Although one can mod the 2009 Ram 1500. I know not a Diesel but after I modded my 2010 3500, I helped my buddy do his 09 Ram 1500 cabin filter.

Back when I owned a Toyota Tacoma I did a mod that had a washable cabin air filter. I found the link and thought some of you might be able to adjust it for your gen. of trucks. Sadly the truck I own now doesn't have that feature. I just want to help out some. Good Luck.

What a great idea, if you are out in the sticks in very dusty conditions you can pull it and wash it out as much as you want.

That is one of the main reasons I liked the idea at the time. It's reusable and you don't have to keep spending money on a new one. Just a one time cost. I had made one for my truck at the time. I just wish my now current truck had something like the newer trucks now have.

Just ordered the parts. I'm hoping this will help eliminate some of the dust in my cab.

Great Post, great mod!

I'd like to add something that may help some. Heat up red-hot whatever blade you use. It makes cutting the line much easier and reduces the chance of shattering the brittle plastic and have little pieces fall back into your fan.

I am currently snowbirding in Yuma AZ and decided to give my 2010, 3500 a good cleanup and had forgotten about the cabin filter. Pulled mine out and was amazed how dirty it was, went to (Reileys? O'reiley?) and bought a new one for 10.22 with tax.
Talked to a buddy down here who has a GM diesel who wishes his truck had something like this as his wife has allergies and complains about the dust.
