Shopping for a 2014 2500 short bed. Towing capability is great for what I need. OEM Air suspension is probably overkill.

I can drive one at a local dealer, but its on a long bed. Anyone drive one? Comparison to the normal 2500 short bed? I was wondering if the ride was more compliant? OK, I know this truck aint gonna ride like a Toyota....

 

Correction....Toyota will not ride like your truck!!
I haven't driven one yet but I want to.

 

I went to the local dealer and drove each back to back. 2500 Crew cab diesel. Didn't get to drive on the local freeways which have the lovely expansion joints that get the truck to bounce.

Anyway, the difference is very minor without weight in the truck. I did feel the auto leveling air suspension was slightly stiffer and bucked front to rear more. The standard suspension was more compliant and I felt it to be more comfortable. Perhaps the factory default setting of the air bags are too high, therefore too stiff. My own $0.02.
