2012 head lamps

The stock head lamps, especially the High beams, do not light up the road very well. Has anyone installed something else that lights up better? Our 2008 Chevy Tahoe lights up the road light like daylight, and I would like to have the same with the Ram.

I think that depends on the style you have from factory.
Reflector with 1 HL bulb per side?
Reflector with 2 HL bulbs per side?
Or finally, projector lenses?

Correction to my previous post - I don't think the projector style came out until 2013. I think all 2012's will have reflector style, 1 bulb or 2 per side.

You are in the same position I was in with my older 2000 Ram. I had the single bulb version, and ended up converting to sport lights with 2 bulbs per side.

I don't know how easy that is on the 4th gens, but you could look into upgrading to the housings with 2 bulbs per side, or maybe even the projector style. I have not looked into this, but I'm guessing it'll take some harness building/altering.

I have the housings with 2 HL bulbs per side. I am not pleased with the output - my older truck was far better. I might look at a swap to projector housing, if it's possible.

I looked onto the 13+ projectors and was very disappointed at how much the lights were. It was like 650 or so per side at the dealer. They may be had for cheaper, but a set of hids, or even a projector retrofit would be cheaper.

Don't do HID's please.
They may look brighter from the driver seat, but the actual USABLE light is the same at best.

Also, you force oncoming drivers to direct their eyes away from the road more than necessary...
