Black Projector Head Lamps

Has any one installed these, would you reccomend them?

I know I do not have the patience and good luck to put mine in the oven, I am good a roasting beef - but thats about all.

Any experience would be appreciated.

Put projectors on mine and liked the look-but it was not plug and play as advertised-you have to tap into the driving/turn signal light to light up the LEDs and halos-or you can do yourself a favor and just bypass those, because they will eventually burn out or start to flicker anyways (I have had this issue, as well as quite a few others that I have read about on this site.) Other than that, the projectors took a while to aim correctly, but I still like that way that they look on my truck.

I just posted in the "let there be light thread." I hate the projectors, I've been farting around with them for months to get them aimed. They're heading for the dumpster as soon as I can get something else in it's place.

What does the oven do to the lights?

I think he is talking about warming up the light housing to loosen the glue that holds the lens to the housing, so you can paint the inner housing black-believe I read about this somewhere here.

I can see where that would make a man nervous! Wouldn't a heat gun do the trick?

Yes, I was reading an article about blacking out the standard head lamps and using the oven to bake the lights to soften the adhesives in order to paint the chromed sections.

I really don't have the ...... to place mine in the oven and bake..

I would rather buy a new set of the night runners.
