2011 RAM Towing Mirrors

Anyone have any suggestions on where to pick up a set? I realize the dealer is an option, but I'm looking for a little better price. My dealer wants $520. I guess I will sell my mirrors on eBay.

Thanks
JAM

Find someone who is ordering a new truck but does not want the tow onses and swap with them when it comes in. I would have done that but my truck is here already.

Unless someone just came out with an aftermarket set there is none to be had. I ended up buying the dodge laramie tow mirrors from Dodge (11/10) at just over 300 bucks a piece. But in my opinion worth every penny.

are they the chrome w/ power, heat, and turn built in? $300 seems a bit high for each, or my quote at $500 is not too bad.

Also, I am going to sell my current mirrors, they are chrome, heat and turn with LED entry down lights...not sure what to ask, but if any interest, kindly pm me.

Yes they are the chrome ones with all of the goodies. It's not like I had much of a choice in the matter. They were purchased piecemeal as replacements. It was odd but Dodge (not the dealer) repeatedly told me that I could not buy the tow mirrors as an aftermarket for my truck since my truck came equipped with the non tow mirrors. I had to use a vin # off of a 2011 new truck at the dealership to order replacement mirrors for that 2011 truck. Things may have changed. I guess as a new design many of the parts weren't yet ready. My old mirrors are on ebay now. My reserve of $150 was met in two days. Still have several days left.

Yes the mirrors will fit but just make sure you order the mirrors with the same options you had or somethings may not work. I have a laramie and I order laramie tow mirrors. Everything worked perfect. My dealer gave them to me at cost for around $315.00 ea. But I worked that out prior to signing the papers. Yes the harness is the same.

This would be great, but only if you have the time. Did you have to remove the door covers or just the top piece? Thanks

That would be no problem. I'll do it this weekend. Yes the panel has to come off to remove the two electrical plugs. I'll take a few pictures.

The interior lights dimmer switch are tied to the puddle lights. If the interior lights are turned off (**** rolled far left) off the puddle lights won't come on when the door is opened. If the interior lights are set to come on (**** rolled far right) with the door opening, then the puddle lights will turn on. The delay is configurable in the EVIC.

You know, I would have thought that the tow mirrors would be standard on the HD's but I saw a 2500 in Marshall that had standard mirrors.

Not sure why anyone would not want the tows, I couldnt live with out my blind spot mirror.

I thought they were considering the size, just assumed they flipped up... like my old MEGA.
