This is one of the things that irritate me about the trucks. For something that seems so easy for them to integrate, you'd think it would be a no-brainer to show "REGEN" in the EVIC, considering how important the regen thing is.

OK - maybe a stupid question but I'm a noob to these trucks - if you don't know it's in regen mode and you shut the truck off, what happens? Paid a lot of money for this thing and don't want to inadvertantly do any damage!

Shouldn't hurt anything, will re-start the regen cycle from scratch next time you start it up. Doing it repeatedly might be begging for trouble, but shutting down mid-regen every once in a while won't hurt.

I got to spend a couple days in an 09 F350 (work truck, don't hate me!) and the dash message center lights up and displays when the truck is in regen. Isn't that a fairly important piece of info?

No...why do you need to know?

Granted, most of the people on this forum, and other's like it WOULD like to know...but to the normal people who buy them, it would only cause confusion
