$32,900 ??????????

How bad of a price is that for a used '10 Ram 3500 ST, crew cab, 4x4, dually,
with 79,000 miles on it ? Paint is perfect, fold down goose, and it probably has
been worked like it should (has a TX commercial inspection sticker on it).

How much off do ya think I could get off that price ?

My haggling skills are a bit rusty on new truck purchases, my 03 has been so
good that I haven't wanted a new truck for this long, before this one I never kept a truck longer than 3 years.

What do ya think they'll offer me in trade for my truck (it's in the sig), with
213,000 miles on it, paint perfect, only thing is one dent at the bottom of the
passenger door ? (I'd post a pic if I was at my home comp)

Thanks.

I'd call it high for a model without power windows and other appropriate options. And the description didn't say it WASN'T a Hemi!

It's a Cummins,sorry, I figured that would be implied.

It has all power windows, locks, everything my current SLT has. Only difference I can see from a SLT on the 10 and 11's is that the piece under the headlight is black plastic instead of painted, but the truck in question is black,so,no biggie. It also has manual shift 4wd,where most SLT's have auto 4.

Oh,it also has an auto tranny too. Thanks.

I have seen brand new trucks go for only a couple bucks more, so seems rather high priced to me.

What is a couple of bucks ? The cheapest I have seen is 39,0000 brand new for a truck with the exact specs as this or 37,000, same specs but with manual 6 speed(which I'd really rather have).

My plan right now is to start off at 28,0000,maybe meet in the middle. Just can't find any truck like mine to get an idea of what the trade value will be,I know with 213,000 it's going straight to auction, not the dealers lot.

I bought my 2010 4X4 crew cab long bed in my signature for $38,000 before trade. There are deals out there. It only had 14,000 when I bought it and also LongHorn package. I could have got a new one for a couple dollars more, but didnt want standard color.

I have to agree, that's a bit too much.

I've seen '09 and '10 trucks in the mid 30's with less than 50k miles on them in SLT or Big Horn trim with autos, but finding one with the manual might be a slight problem since there aren't many out there.

Seems steep. My Mega Cab was negotiated down to $40K before I ever talked trade and it stickered north of $50K.

I've already found better deals than that on 2WD's,my deep sandy pasture, and North,TX ice storms, make 2WD a no go.

Hahaha, it was the pics of your truck in the "show me" thread, that caused me to step foot on that dealer lot.

Agreed. My 07 was a 4x4 and I never used it except for maybe a bad rainstorm or two. No ice in Florida so the 2wd works ok here. I wouldn't have a 2wd if I lived further north.

At 79,000 miles, that price is walk out the door laughing (probably shouldn't even walk IN the door for a truck like that at that price).

The brakes, rotors and tires alone that the truck would likely need bring you very dangerously close to a new ST at $36K or $37K. Also, if you were going to finance, the rate on new is a lot cheaper than used.

That truck new was $38K to $40K out the door price. With 79K on the clock, that's only $.10 per mile depreciation and THAT is a joke. The only Cummins I can see holding that kind of price MIGHT be a 5.9L b/c you don't have all of the DPF crap.

It's your money, but if you're willing to pay that for that truck, shoot me an e-mail. I'm sure I've got something laying around I can convince you to buy.
