Wheels?
Hey, have had my 2017 2500 Laramie about a month now. I have the Sport package, and the black wheels aren't bad, but am planning on custom wheels in the future.
My question is what offset do I need to bring the tires out to the edge of the fenders without sticking out?
Thanks

AEV makes a perfect 17" wheel for the 4th's.
17 x 8.5 with 6.0 backspacing. I'm not aware of another 17" wheel with these specs.
My friend's got these on his.

The stock 20 x 8 wheels have a +55mm offset so they are pretty tucked.
You'll definitely want to reduce the offset a bit if you go with a wider tire & wheel, say to a 35x12.50 tire on a 9" wide rim.
A +12 offset gets you out about 3/4" outside the stock fender line with no flare on it:
Remember, the smaller the offset number, the farther out the wheel will sit past the fender. So a +12 offset would be 6mm (about 0.24") farther out than the +18 mm offset wheel.
So let's say you are comparing the stock offset (+55mm) and an aftermarket rim with a +12mm offset. The +12mm offset wheel will stick out 1.7" farther.
Remember, the tire will stick out past the face of the wheel so you should account for that as well. My 35x12.50 BFG KO2 tires on 9" wheels stick out past the wheel face by almost an inch when aired up to 55 psi.
Here's an example. This is my 2015 2500 with 18x9 wheels, 35x12.50 tires and pocket flares:
The flares were less than 1/4" farther out than the face of the tire.
I'm not sure what flares you have so I can't recommend a specific offset but hopefully the info above will help you make some measurements to see what works best for you.

Hey, thanks a ton Yamaki. I have the factory flares that come with the Sport package.
This is my first Ram since my '05 after 2 Sierra HD's, (don't care for the square look on the new ines). A +18 on a GMC sticks out more than a +12 does on yours.
