VERY NEW to the 4th Gen Trucks(Like Yesterday) Tuner Question
Ive read for a total of 26 of the 24 hrs Ive owned my 10 2500 Mega Cab and all I get out of it is you cant get a "New" Tuner anymore because the EPA has shut the mfg's down...But you google em and everyone has one available and many brands to offer. With that being said I have a 2 part question: A: Can a New tuner be purchased to accommodate the complete delete process from top to bottom and B: Are the one's that are purchased now have anything left off or things they dont delete like they did several yrs ago? Sorry to be ignorant but Im totaly new to the 6.7....Ive owned many many 5.9's. Will all the ignorance being said who should I buy from and what brands should I be leaning towards. I love other people's opinons and realize everybodies will be different. Thanks for all the help!
I've been saving this article until my warranty expires

DHT,
If nothing has happened yet, chances are nothing will happen in the next 8K miles until your warranty is up. Freeing up your motor will do more good than harm. As for the tuner. I recommend calling a diesel performance shop directly to discuss the options available to you. Shops like the DTR store, RSD, XDP, etc will be very helpful in what you will be able to do, especially if you don't want to source a used tuner. If you find a used tuner, make sure the vehicle it came off of was returned to stock.

I have a RaceME that I purchased new lat October direct from their website (before they were available retail). It worked flawlessly for about 10 months when I decided I wanted to try custom tunes. I recently picked up a used H&S XRT Pro from ebay which I has also been working flawlessly. I would still be using the RaceME if they offered trans tuning like H&S and TorqueTech.
You can save a few bucks by buying used and still get quality equipment.
