Starting the delete

What do I do first? Do I start by hooking my smarty up to the truck, get the "stock" setting in the smarty, or do I just start by taking all the crap off, and then deal with the smarty?

Im doing a complete delete on a 10 2500.

Also, do the settings 0-4 all have the ME software in them? Again this isnt my truck, so I really dont want to screw it up.

Smarty may be different from H&S, but when I installed my H&S it said to do the delete first but not to drive more than 20 miles before installing the download. If you can I'd just do them both at the same time. Of course, if you do the delete and for some reason your Smarty doesn't work then you have a problem.

I have the smarty on the truck now, but I cant confirm it has the ME program in it like it was suposed to have. They told me it was in there when I bought it. It has the ME sticker on the case, but I cant see it when the numbers flash when you plug it in the truck.

I guess Im waiting for the ME program to be emailed to me, well a link anyways.

As I see it the ME program "should" be in every setting of the Smarty except the "stock" setting. Were not after any power upgrades, just want all the BS off the truck is all. So it will be set at zero 99% of the time.

Thanks

Kasey

take all the bs off the truck, eger cooler, dpf, nox, cat etc...
once all your wrenches are cleaned up, put away, sit down in the driver seat and plug in the smarty.
it should already be loaded to delete. there wont be a choice on it between m.e. and non m.e..
just follow the prompts and program it. should only take about 10 minutes or so. make sure your batterys are in good shape, all your radios, phone chargers, lights etc are turned off. the smarty needs all the power from the system to program.
you shouldn't have any problems loading it.
and yes, all the settings are for deletes if you got the m.e.
