smarty s67 on 2011 HO cummins

we had and h&s xrt pro worked good sold the old truck got a new one 2 years ago and cant get any millage with it so were looking into a tuner to do the dpf delete no really looking for more power just looking for millage better the 9.5. I recently picked up a smarty for my 5.9 and sounds like a decent tuner so possible looking into one for this new truck but got a couple questions. will the smarty do the same thing as the xrt pro as in making the cel not come on with the dpf removed? anyone have one on a 800 HO and seeing any millage differences?

I use the smarty jr and have deleted with no CEL problems. The problem you will have is finding the ME tunes for the smarty jr.

I don't have an 800 HO. But, on my 2010 mega cab, I now get 22 mpg when I drive 60 mph on the side highways and 20 mpg when I drive 75 mph on the interstate. I also pulled a 15,000 pound enclosed trailer (22,000 pounds truck + trailer) from Kansas City to central Maine and averaged 11 mpg.

Hope this helps.

I am only familiar with the smarty jr. The ME tune allows the emissions equipment to be removed from the exhaust without throwing the CEL codes. It also allows the EGR to be unplugged or removed without CEL codes. BUT, the EPA has cracked down on this and has forced companies to stop supporting this feature.

Maybe somebody more knowledgeable than myself can give you a better explanation....

Your description is correct and there is still "support" for the pre-epa compliant "US" tuners.
ONLY THE PRE-US TUNERS WILL WORK WITH ME TUNES. (Sorry for yelling but too many people are purchasing "US" tuners expecting to do deletes and are getting screwed.)
If the smarty tuner has "US" in the serial # then it cannot do deletes, so ask prior to purchasing to be sure.
There are used smarty tuners for sale in the cumminsforum.com for sale section all the time that will do deletes. Look in the 07.5-09 and 2010-12 for sale sections for the ads, just make sure they're unlocked prior to purchase.
Tunes are available on the same forum or you can pm me your email addy, the tuner model and MY truck and I'll send you a download link.
Another option is Raceme or RacemePro. Basically the offshore version of the smarty tuners with a changed software code that makes the tunes not compatable with the smarty's. Good prices and arrives in two days from europe.
Guys in the 4th gen cummins forum have had good reviews on them.

Anyone who reads the Smarty documentation and the RaceME documentation can add it up.

The H&S tuners are still available too. Certain circles are know to be able to get delete capable tuners.

Any Smarty that is the non US can have delete (ME) tuning downloaded to it.
