Smarty does not have the latest ECM code 11351130AL programmed. Don't let an update happen to your truck ECM that you can't interface with!

 

meaning what? don't get the factory update until Smarty supports it? did you go back to stock to visit the dealer and now you can't communicate or reload your Smarty? more details please!

 

Sorry that wasn't clear.......

Went by the Chrysler dealer for a check on the 'high oil' issue with engine check light. While there, they updated the truck ECM which was supposed to fix the 'computer problem' that gave the engine check light.

Then I got educated on what was going on, ordered a Smarty Jr., did the deletes.

The Smarty got an 'Unknown Program' when it tried to communicate with the truck ECM which is '11351130AL'.

So, I never was able to use it. MADS does not have an estimate when this will be supported.

2011 3500 crew cab. Was all stock prior to this incident.

 

Sounds like the bootloader issue on the 09.5's

If you tried to program them they would go into lockdown mode and wouldnt run.

Now it sounds like you cant even load the program at all.

Good thing Im not visiting the dealership at anytime.

 

You won't catch me in there again!

 

One more reason I'm hanging onto my 06. I don't have to deal with it.

 

Another reason to go H&S no issues at all so far.

 

And I hope your 06 continues to give you many many more years of reliable and flawless service.

I had an 06 that I loved. . . Watch your oil pressure at idle or you may be driving a new one also ;-)

 

H&S took care of it ! ! ! !

 

You're lucky you don't have to do the K01 reflash in your state. For whatever reason,my ECM self-destructed when they installed the reflash. Dodge bought me a new one and some other part that vaporized. MADS had the new software update and Smarty went right in. I was sweating it,thinking Dodge might be including some anti-programmer stuff in there. Boy,I'm glad Smarty's back.
