Running JP5/8 to help out these DPF's?
A thought came to mind, and I know this has been discussed in the 2nd and 3rd gen forums, but, being new to the 4th gen world a thought crossed my mind. We need hot EGT's to keep the DPF happy. Has anyone ran a tank of JP5/8 (with 2 stroke or half OTR diesel) to help bring our EGT's up and clean out these DPF's?
We use JP5 in our diesels in the military, but they are designed to use it, and I've ran a few tanks here and there of JP5 in my 5.9 (with some 2 stroke oil). but has anyone done this in the 4th gens?

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
Many years ago I used to own an Olds Delta 88 with the diesel engine and often ran straight Jet A in it. It worked very well with zero problems. The exhaust smell did change slightly.

If you are going to run JP anything then any warranty work involving engine or emissions might be denied, so it would pay to just delete and run what you want anyway. Many sumps get dipped on overnights and it costs to dispose of the waste fuel....

I wouldn't. Jet fuel can be up to 3000 PPM sulphur and the average is between 500 and 1000 PPM. Unless you are deleted, your truck needs 15 PPM.
We used to run Jet A in our ground equipment and I know guys who use it in older trucks but there is no way I would mess with it in my stock 2011.
