project extended range

well project extended range has taken another turn. Just got ahold of a 120 gallon diamond plate fuel tank with external pump for the sweet price of FREE. traded my 85 gallon tank for it. Have a welder buddy of mine going to weld bungs in it for me for my feed set up and also going to weld a plate on the top so I can install a sending unit to monitor the level via an autometer gauge. 160 gallons of sweet #2 nectar should get me where I need to go. filling it will suck but add up all the stops with a 35 gallon tank to make it where I am wanting to go and you still pay the same money and hey, with fuel prices I can pick and choose my fill locations based on price not need. Will post pics. going to attempt to get it fitted this weekend but have a crazy schedule

Free? Free!

Hell, if its free.....

Thats gonna be a lot of fuel. I heartily approve.

Got my 90 gallons RDS gravity plumbed into my factory tank for a total of 125 gallons on the run for me. Wouldnt have it any other way.

I need to do this mod myself. It's always a worry trying to get fuel when pulling the trailer.

This is what is going in. We are purging the tank as I am welding bungs to the drivers side of it to plumb into my current FASS pump to transfer fuel. Also welding a plate on the top for the sending unit. Going to install a gauge on the pillar to monitor levels while traveling. Have a pump for the passenger side just in case I need to fill equipment etc so thats an added bonus

What regulatory code is that from?

And is that for a single volume, or a total volume?

why do OTR trucks not have placards on the trucks. My Peterbilt had 135 gallon tanks.

this tank outer dimensions are 24x24x48, baffled twice inside the tank and has 1/8" diamond plate. outer dimensions are 120 gallon so fingering 119 or so. DOT can kissssss meeeeee tail
