Just curious
Busboy you sound very upset...First, Im sorry you have had bad experiences with your dealer, but my dealership never dodged any issues and has been totally delete friendly. Dont blame the company for what a dealer does. Second if they didnt have the system on there you couldnt purchase a truck anyway(Federal Emission Standard), you would have to fly to the Middle East purchase a Dodge with a Cummins ship it and hope to smuggle it in. Chrysler has to void your warranty because you are tampering with equipment that is on there by Federal Law.
My point was IF the truck cannot function in cold climates Dodge should never have sold it here in the first place. As for the dealer I have been there a number of times to talk with them about my sons tuck as it is hardly ever here, they never mentioned soot issues totally clogging the intake, oil dilution or unburned fuel running down the boost tube into the inter cooler. I have only been twice to have my truck looked at, once after the 5ver I was pulling almost pushed me into the back of a mini van that cut me off and the factory brake controller didn't do anything. They were excellent, they looked at it found a problem then replaced the controller while I waited, the second time was after I had discovered the real problem while deleting my sons truck. While getting parts to delete my sons truck, my truck threw a code and my reader was broken so I went to the dealer to show them the pics with the intake removed and get the codes read. They told me there were a bunch of codes and listed them but never mentioned O2 sensors, it was only when I asked directly if the O2 sensor code was there they said yes and I would need to make an appointment to get it serviced. I read the codes the next day and there was only an O2 sensor code which I reset then made the decision to delete the truck.
In Canada we pay a huge premium for these trucks why there is such a difference I don't know maybe it's "the Alberta advantage"
but if they sell them here they should work here. I now know that these trucks must be deleted to run in the winter here I also know that you lose your warranty so the next trucks we buy will be in the US, the money saved will more than pay for the deletes and at least one new engine per truck should we need one and Dodge can keep their warranty.

Busboy, thanks for the explanation on the fuel. Come to think of it my change oil notification on the EVIC appeared at 5k miles
in early spring. The oil was runny, you could see fuel pooled in the oil in the top of the 5 gallon bucket I use to collect the spent oil. I assumed it was a leaky injector because sometimes when I'd start it in the cold I could hear one hammering away louder than the rest. It went away when it warmed up. You've given me something to consider.

Before deletes my son was getting oil change msg about 2500 Km (dealer told him to ignore it) and the engine was over full, Amsoil was like water. I checked his oil the other day as I was curious he has 20,000 KM on this oil and filter, the oil is still as clean if not cleaner than after first run for leak checking before deletes. He will do an oil and filter and have a sample tested to see where he is. He has about 40-45,000 km since deleting with no problems other than a clutch and is getting excellent fuel economy.
I have a 2010 and was turbo back deleted early (maybe 3,000 miles). The EGR is not deleted, but it is disconnected. The truck now has almost 51,000 miles on it and has not had any power train problems. After running through a couple of slushly pools of water this winter, it did throw a couple of O2 codes. But, that was my fault as I did not cover the exhaust sensor connectors very well. So, I cleaned out the muck from the connectors, covered the sensors with silicone calking, and put electrical tape back over them. Have not had any problems with codes since then.
I would highly recommend deletes, but find a delete friendly dealer first.

You can buy E rated engine oil, its designed to handle the extra soot and fuel build-up. My truck has never been back to the dealer since I bought the truck. I done all the repairs and service. I deleted my truck at 3000 miles.
I've owned enough dodge products to know I don't want their warranty.
