How about the 2012's?

I have a 2011 that's been in the shop a LOT! Been wiring problems where the wiring bundle takes a sharp turn behind the engine. Still not resolved. Runs sometimes and then barely runs sometmes with an undrivable miss.

Definitely UNDEPENDABLE!

In the shop again after being in the shop last week. I'm on the road, kinda.

So, how about the 2012's? They doing any better?

Dosen't seem your issue is very common. If it is under warranty, they should just put a whole new engine harness on it and call it a day.

Can you get a picture of that? Would be interesting. The early 3rd gens had an issue like that near the alternator.

My 2011 has not had a single issue, other than something that I have caused.

Sounds like an out norm situation.

My '12 has been pretty good so far, I had some programming issues with my H&S software but a simple update fixed the power loss issue I was having while pulling trailers

OK, here's the deal.....
At 528 miles from new, an injector failed. In working on it, the injector wiring harness was replaced by Dodge personnel. In so doing, a bolt that holds the harness was torqued too much and stripped out. This was not corrected, but left in place. It worked back and forth and shorted, sometime more than at other times, some of the injectors.

This has now been corrected by drilling and taping a new bolt.

The truck has never run this good!

I now have five days on the road and 2,100 miles up and down mountains on the way back to Alaska and all is well.

Thank you Dodge........ This has been going on for a year while their diagnostics said there wasn't a problem!
