EGR Delete/ Mini Maxx ??
I'm looking at doing deletes to my 11.5, and had a few questions. I am going to do the H&S mini maxx, with a down pipe and DPF delete, but not sure if I'm going to do the EGR delete. Other than making it look clean, will it hurt to leave them installed?
Also with the mini maxx I have heard the pod above the mirror in the laramies does not fit. For anyone that has it, does it just not fit center? And pics if you have them installed please.
Thanks in advance,
Jake

remove the EGR. the cooler is prone to leaking. Sinister has the best kit out and cheaper than H&S and retains the coolant passage on the center of the head. the supplied flex mount that comes with the mini maxx is a nice piece plus allows you to remove the mini to keep it out of sight out of mind sort of thing

For the installation of your mini maxx I recommend putting it in a location close to your face. I could not believe how small it was. The Black Maxx is worth the extra cash.
Just my recommendation. For the record, I love my mini maxx

Thanks for the replies.
cbrahs- Besides it possibly leaking in the future, is there any reason there would be a problem to leave the EGR valves and cooler attached, since you can turn it off with the H&S? Just curious, looking at all my otions.
New2Diesel- My buddy has one and doesn't see to bad, but yes the black maxx would be nice to see, but I want it as concealed as possible for those "sticky fingered people..."

Yep, I hear ya. I definately do not want mine walking away.
You question to cbrahs, he can answer but you could also read the thread from Blake in regards to deleting. He discusses the pros/cons of leaving it in place. I strongly recommend removal.
My belief was this, since installing the mini maxx voids the warranty, why not remove everything. All that weight gone. Much cleaner engine bay. Less heat, etc.... I am a full delete guy and will never go back.

I got the minimax with the headliner console mount. I love it, looks **** near stock and its in a good viewing position. It was even a **** close match to stock plastic color. Highly recommend it.

I was unable to make the overhead mount work. My mirror has the electronics, the overhead mount restricted movement of the mirror. Could not adjust the mirror. It may work fine on the basic mirror. I have a 2011.5 2500.
