It is a 2012 and I knew that. New rims coming, should be coming with the new lug size.

Hmmm. Keep digging, Im sure the root of the problem is somewhere, and once found lets get everyone informed so that no one else has any issues.

My spacers will be here on Friday, and if they require a small trim of the studs to ensure proper fit, Ill do a small write up.

funny you mention it though, Just this past week on guy I work with had his truck to a tire shop to replace his rims and tires. and ran on some wrong nuts on his lugs. didn't even notice. they just ran them with the impact. bound up before they bottomed out. and broke 3 or 4 studs trying to remove them. he never turned a wheel with them, the shop did a whole new set of studs before he'd take the truck back.
Good for him! There's no need for your buddy to leave with damaged hardware.

Thumbs up Spacer Conclusion

I put the new set of rims on and pulled the Alcoas off. The spacers have long been taken off. I looked at the back of the rims and there was an actual slight indent of the studs which means they were longer then the spacers. "See pictures"

Here is a write up from Blake that everyone should know before installing spacers:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...58#post3139558

Since my studs were a hair longer then the spacer, the rims could not sit flush, thus causing my issue. I have ran many sets of spacers and did not know about shaving the studs, nor did I think that that hair sticking out would have caused my studs to shear.

I am not trying to blame anyone (even myself), I just hope people can read and learn from this, and not have to go through what I did or worse.

My new rims have enough offset, so I won't be re-running spacers up front, but I still have them on my duals as well as my 02 Dually.

I'm glad you got everything squared away. Bad situation indeed, and I hope this leads people in the right direction.
