My 2 cents, the further out you go from factory position, the more side ways pressure you have. The longer it is, the more leverage you have. hence, use no spacers.

As you are well respected for your spacers, I would really like to see your input on this situation.

However, DTR has strict policies regarding advertising.

Im sure that if you get in touch with Lary, he will explain to you DTR's advertising policies.

I for one would love to see you as a sponsor here, and when I order wheel spacers, they will be yours.

He is definitely welcome here Blake, I would like to see his info as well BUT he has to adhere to the same Forum rules as every other Vendor here and not post advertising information like webpages, phone numbers etc...

I have a (few) questions, which somebody maybe can shed some light. All dually front axles have a set of "front adaptors" attached to the axle. Are these "front adapters" different lenghts from a 3500 to 4500 to 5500 ?

If a Dodge 5500 are longer would they work as a better spacer?

What excatly is a factory "front adaptor" part called?

I am out of the country till mid Oct. I have a new set of rims coming. I will send pictures and update all, once the new rims are on.

Shlen, if I'm not mistaken the 4500 and 5500 series trucks use a 19.5 in wheel/tire combination and 10 lug rims.

100% for sure. the adapter width would be irrelevant after the fact that the bolt patterns are totally wrong for you. And I'm fairly sure it called, the dually hub adapter. I had to change one on my F450 service truck before. it was bent. Thats what ford parts called it IIRC.

is your truck a 2012 dodge dually???? b/c the 2012 dodge dually has a diffrent wheel stud then the other previous years dodge...the 2012 dodge if u have it has a 14mmx1.5 thread pitch

Mr Goeske, just a quick question for you. Will there be any trimming required on the studs with you 2" spacers on my 2011 Dually?

Yes Sir, Will do. I got a buddy of mine Im about to get a set of tires from and he had a 1.5" aluminum spacer. Would have required me cutting down the lugs waaaaaay more than I was comfortable doing. I dont mind clearancing them a bit, but this setup would have required cutting over a half inch off. And it really didnt give me a warm and fuzzy feeling running aluminum spacers.

Any tips on corrosion prevention for the steel spacers?

Mine should be here on Friday


Im wondering if Shlen may have had the wrong kit for his truck and that caused issues?

I didn't know the threads changed for 12.

funny you mention it though, Just this past week on guy I work with had his truck to a tire shop to replace his rims and tires. and ran on some wrong nuts on his lugs. didn't even notice. they just ran them with the impact. bound up before they bottomed out. and broke 3 or 4 studs trying to remove them. he never turned a wheel with them, the shop did a whole new set of studs before he'd take the truck back.
