2012 4x4 laramie Air Lift #88295 dimming wire color

I am finishing up installing the Air Lift Ultimate 5000 #88295 air bag system to the rear of our 2012 3500 CC, LB, 4x4, dually with B&W Gooseneck Hitch , I wanted to connect the dash mount air gauge's display light with the dash dimmer this time, last time I found that the light is quite bright being almost directly in my eye sight while driving - I installed one system in an old f-250 2006 (that was a fiasco vehicle purchase).
I located the back of the head light switch and reach up behind it and pushed slightly till the bezel and all came out easily ,,took a light indicator and located the wire connector on the back of the light switch and tested the out puts till I located the dash light dimmer wire that goes to the dash lights ,,, I stripped about 3/4 inch of shielding and soldered a pig tail to use with the air gauge's display light .

I can tell instantly that my eyes will be thanking me for the extra work I done.

The color of wire is OR/GY (orange with grey strip) these are 20 gauge wires.

Be very careful and don't use a clip on or squeeze together type plug in--these will end up cutting the wires and causing problems ,,, ALWAYS SOLDER, even after crimping - solder if humanly possible or soon after.

The Air Lift system says to put the air gauge wires (red and green ) together and crimp a 1/4 flat female, this is what makes the gauge light stay on bright ,,, the red wire from the gauge is for the light ,,, the green wire is the power in to the air gauge switch to activate the relay to operate the pump to inflate the air bags.

I put a couple of pics to show the dimming compared to our porch light and also location of air pump under behind the rear drivers side back seat ( will be completed tomorrow ) I also added the stock air lines with pesto valves (regular tire valve) to the license plate. The pump will be plumbed in to both bags and yes only one pesto valve is need but I have plans to add the separation set up latter for individual air bag controls (may be getting a camper and the tilting maybe a problem with both bags connected together) so I figured it wont hurt any thing as long as I done every thing correctly
PS. the bag kit went in extremely easy, I was VERY pleased, pump kit#25850 would be in if I didn't care about electrical system or the system lasting over time,, Taking the time is the difference

Well all done and 2 hours to spare before picking my little girl up at school SWEEET, giving it the 30lb test, it maybe leaking about a pound every 8 minutes,,,not sure yet,,have to go out here in another 1 hour and 20 min to check for a 2 hour test but every thing looks great and works great, just worried ill need to tighten up the 7/16 inserts on the bags if they are leaking or the 12 plus cuts and plugins with soapy water,,,,,over all, very pleased,,,73's all

UP DATE: 30 psi test for 2 hours plus a few minutes- no leaking at all,,,,,, now the over night test at 60 psi - dropped to 38 lbs - guess I have some soapy waters to do today DANG IT, I'll get back with were the leak was at in the next edit, 73's all

Your welcome, I have found Air Lift to be just better than fire stone,,,,0- also last up date to the install,,,,,, the air lose was due to the pesto (tire valve ) leaking some,, after wards I recalled the same thing happened on the ford install, just one was ever so slightly loose Of course after I had crawled under and sprayed the bag valves and all back to the bumper LOLOL
