Water Pump

Went in for front end alignment this morning and was supprized to see the dealer had the new water pump for the recall.

So so it’s going in.

So, guess there are some around, thought I’d let you guys know.

Did they alert you or did you just happen across one and had it installed?

No alert, had a front alignment scheduled, service advisor advised me that the replacement pump was there for the recall and wanted to known if I wanted it done on the while I was there for the alignment or another scheduled visit.

I called the "***********" and they have replacement water pumps in stock now.

They also have the shift lever recall parts in as well.

Called my local *********** about pump. I was shocked they told me 4.5 hours job. Really!!! Does not look any more difficult than my old 5.9L that took me 15 minutes.

I just bought a 2017 with 1900 miles, what with the water pump recall? Are there any other recalls I need to know about?

Download the “My Mopar” app. It will tell all recalls on your truck and have a bunch of other stuff on it, including all Service preformed at all dealers on your truck. It’s not in-depth with details. Shows milage and brief info.

Thanks Dave

It says I have 2 outstanding recalls, I called the local dealer who told me they need to correct a "Tail Gate Latch" and something to do with the shift lever.

Are either something I need to do? I am not a fan of the work that usually comes out from dealerships,

Because they are recalls, you should just let them do it. I had the Shift Lever done, don’t have the tail gate issue.
