torque converter wont unlock sensation

In my 2012 ram 3500, 68RFE, i have an h&s engine tune and downloaded the h&s trans tune, almost immediately after installing my trans tune i now have a issue when the truck is cold, i drive to the end of my street not even reaching 30KMH(torque converter has not locked yet) and i go to stop at stop sign, i pressed brake pedal to stop and the truck keeps trying to push threw the brakes and if i hold brakes firm enough it ends up stalling. i have also had it where i have reached 50KMH again being cold and come to a stop sign and try to stop and it keeps pushing threw the brakes again and i have to pop it into neutral and then back into gear and it is ok. has done this a dozen times or so now. i have tried to contact H&S support but i get the forum. they tell me its my torque converter, why all of sudden after trans tune this is happening? Mabe it was there but with new line pressures its more noticeable? whats your opinions?

also i have removed the transmission pan to do a oil change/check on things and the spin on filter had a some material in it but not very much, i had to cut filter open and cut out a section and squeeze out oil to see any material, but hardly anything

mullishacrew, I have a 2011 3500 w/68RFE with out the H&S trans tune and I have experienced the same sensation you described probably 6 to 8 times, always when cold both going forward and/or in reverse. It never happens if I let the truck warm up for approximately 5 plus minutes.


I doubt it has much to do with H&S's trans tune but it's installation may have exacerbated and already existing but yet unnoticed transmission issue.


It is something you want to warn anybody about before you let them drive your truck.

After a few minutes of thought I am willing to bet it has more to do with the current (OEM) transmission fluid friction modifiers and the cold weather.?
