front pinion seal

have a small drip from my front pinion seal on my 2010 3500 4X4. Need to remove those pesky T40 torx screws and am having real trouble figuring out how to do it.
My t40 socket is at too much of an angle and wants to strip out the head.
Is there a special tool/trick for getting these torx head bolts out?

Did you get it figured out yet? I have the service manual if you want me to look into it. Mine is leaking as well, just haven't got around to fixing it.
