For those who like to play in the mud

For those that don't know what happens when water gets into your diff...
This was on a 2011 2500 with 41500 miles on it, bone stock.

Was that done on purpose for demonstration purpose? or you did not know you got water in the differential?

This wasn't my truck, one I had to look at for my work. I do aftermarket warranty inspections. This was on a truck that was bought for the sole purpose as a farm support vehicle. Owner claimed it never made a noise, it just wouldn't engage in 4 wheel drive.
